HI, Lovely!

Hello ,

New day, new week, new creation. I like flowers, but I don't like getting bouquets of flowers. I don't like the idea of spending lots of $ for something that will look pretty for a day and then is all dead. Better keep them in pots or just in the garden. That's the beauty of them!

However, I don't mind a nice flower stamp. I made card using, Friendly Flowers by Simon Says Stamp. Really pretty set and nice quality!

Do you like getting flowers? What's your favorite flower? Mine is peony. Gorgeous flower!
Hope you like today's creation. Have a wonderful day!

Thinking of you Gorjuss

Hello everyone,

I am back with a new creation. This is going to be my first ''The cost of creativity '' challenge creation. If you want to know more about this challenge, please click over here.

If you like crafting or have a passion for handmade, then this is a great way to evaluate your investment : money and time.

The longest process is colouring the stamped image. Sometimes I spend from 30 minutes to almost two hours. On this specific stamped image, I spent about 40 minutes, more or less.

Recording the video, editing and blogging, took about 4-5 hours.

Sometimes it takes longer, but this card is pretty simple.

I will probably give this away to one of my friends. But, if I create a different card, with different embellishments, the price will start from £5.

Is it all worth it? Yes and no. Yes, because I enjoy making these creations and because I know, some people really appreciate handmade gifts. They give that extra special love/feeling.

And, no,because sometimes you can not use the same product twice or they are not good quality. I think this is part of the challenge. When trying new things and the quality isn't good, it will end up in the bin or somewhere lost in a box.

The Cost of Creativity Tag / Challenge

Hello everyone,

Today's post is going to be a bit different. As papercrafter and not only, sometimes I forget how expensive my hobby can be. Don't get me wrong! I love spending time crafting and shopping for new supplies, but sometimes I think we all end up buying supplies, just because they are cute, they are on good sale or because we have some ideas . We ''MUST'' or ''NEED'' that item.

So, I thought it would be an interesting challenge, to see how much time and money, I spend on making things. Anyone can take part of this challenge and follow the simple rules:

  • Create a project ( papercraft , artwork, any other crafts)
  • Create a blog post or video.
  •  Create a supplies list along with the price of each item used for the project(if you use an old item and you forgot the price of it, or is out of stock, just mention ''own stash '' or ''free gift''.
  • How long you spent working on your project / blogging /video.
  • If you sell the finished item, how much will that cost? ( if you add extra packaging, please add that to your supplies list).
  •  Is it all worth?
  •  Tag three friends to take part in this challenge.
That's it! Can not wait to see your creations. Please use the #thecostofcreativity on social media. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
