Plaid backgrounds

Happy Monday everyone,

It's so cold outside! Winter is definitely coming, so make sure you wrap yourself with warm clothes and a nice hot tea or hot chocolate. For today I have two cards that are very similar. I like the plaid pattern, but I don't have it in my stash. So, I used a few stamps from Whimsy Stamps to create my own plaid background.

The process is super easy and the result looks so nice! I wanted to make these cards into Christmas themed ones. One for her and one for him. The Merry Christmas die is from Tonic Studios. You can use a sentiment stamp instead, but I like the look of the dies I used for the focal point.

I hope you get inspired to create your own pattern paper.
As always, thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Christmas tree

Hello everyone,

I have a new card to share today. It is a Christmas one, as the Christmas is coming up very soon. I wanted to do another coloring on kraft cardstock. This turns into my new favorite thing to do with coloring pencils. You should give it a try.

I used the ''Penguins decorate the tree'' stamp from Whimsy Stamps. For the Christmas baubles, I used the NUVO drops from Tonic Studios, because they give a nice 3D effect. They come in different looks: metallic, glitter, glow in the dark and jewel.

I will have other Christmas inspired creations coming up this month. Keep an eye on my blog. If you have questions, please let me know in the comments below.
Have a great day!

Simply be who you are Mixed Media

Hello there,

It's been a long time since I made a mixed media project. I thought it would be nice to create one. This time is a mini ''canvas'' mixed media layout. I used a thick chipboard for the base, that's why is not really canvas.

I used some of my old dies and supplies, including some from Tonic Studios, Sizzix and Tim Holtz.  The NUVO mousse from Tonic Studios did a great job for the background and the accents on the die cuts.

I really like the sentiment. It gives that label maker look . I don't have one ,but I had this stamp I bought a while ago.
The fun part about mixed media is that you can  give the masculine or feminine look. And if you make mistakes you can easily cover with more paint or other embellishments.

I hope you like today's creation. As always, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
